Moolmans Powers Ahead with AMT Project in Africa

Moolmans, part of the Aveng Group, is a major force in contract mining in Africa. Operating in six African countries moving more than 15 million tonnes monthly, Moolmans required a proven asset management system to contol costs and guarantee performance of its large fleet of surface mining equipment.

"Prior to AMT we had a number of different systems that didn't talk to each other at all. There was a lot of manual data entry. AMT changes that by integrating right into our Accpac accounting system, delivering one seamless solution for our business. All the equipment management functions; setting plant rates, planning and scheduling, work order management; will take place in AMT. In the background the costs are correctly posted to the general ledger in Accpac." says Arno Opperman, Plant Manager for Moolmans.

Arno Adds, "This is done across our operations in South Africa, Ghana, Botswana, Mali, Namibia and Guinea, giving us visibility of the costs and performance of plant right across Africa."
